The Terra Alta offers a wide variety of activities for all tastes: from hiking and cycling routes through emblematic areas such as the Terra Alta Greenway, to cultural visits linked to historical memory and the Battle of the Ebro. Nature lovers can explore the Ports Natural Park, while wine enthusiasts will find in the Terra Alta Designation of Origin a top-level wine tourism experience.
Below are some recommendations:
Greenway between Prat de Comte and El Pinell, via La Fontcalda
The Greenway is an excellent alternative for immersing yourself in the natural surroundings of the Terra Alta. If you are travelling with children, one of the most highly recommended routes is the one that connects the former railway station of Prat de Comte with El Pinell de Brai.
The reason is clear: halfway along the route, after the fun experience of crossing several tunnels, you reach the sanctuary of La Fontcalda, a place that stands out in its own right. There you can discover a thermal water spring, enjoy the natural pools formed by the Canaletes River, and relax in a pleasant picnic area.
It is also worth noting that the former Prat de Comte railway station has another picnic area, ideal for starting or ending the excursion in a calm and relaxed way.

Les Olles
If you visit during the hottest months, the experience is truly unforgettable: you can cool off in impressive natural pools, considered among the most beautiful not only in the Terra Alta and the Terres de l’Ebre, but in the entire province of Tarragona. On the other hand, if you go at a cooler time of year, the landscape still offers a spectacular natural setting to enjoy at a leisurely pace.
In addition, it is a very accessible place, suitable for everyone.
